Touchscreen in a professional espresso machine?
Touchscreen technology has become a natural part of everyday life. We use it in smartphones, cars, and POS systems. Yet in the world of professional portafilter espresso machines, physical buttons have dominated for years.
Why? Earlier touchscreen solutions often failed to meet baristas’ expectations — they lacked responsiveness, precision, and true ergonomic value in daily use.
With RAPTOR, the situation is different. The screen and interface represent a new generation of touchscreen solutions, designed from the ground up for intensive café operations. The result is speed, stability, and intuitive operation that make a tangible difference behind the bar.
“It feels like a smartphone”
This is how users most often describe their first experience with the RAPTOR touchscreen. The comparison reflects both the smoothness of operation and the intuitive navigation.
Buttons are clear, properly sized, and logically arranged. The interface follows interaction patterns familiar from modern digital systems, allowing new baristas to learn the machine quickly — without lengthy training or unnecessary frustration.

The new RAPTOR interface — more than a visual update
This is not a cosmetic change, but a practical improvement to daily workflow. The system allows programming up to 4 portion buttons per group, enabling greater flexibility in recipe customization and a consistent workflow — from classic espresso to extended or signature extractions.
1 - Single Single shot | 2- Double Shot Double shot |
3- Long Single Single shot with extended extraction | 4 - Long Double Double shot with extended extraction |
A – Start / Stop (no time limit) | B – Settings menu |
C – Group flush | The display also shows extraction time (seconds), date, and temperature. |
Each of 4 button can be freely programmed by the barista, covering the full range from very short extractions to extended brews.
Your workflow. Your settings.
RAPTOR goes further than portion programming. Users can precisely adjust:
extraction temperature,
steam temperature,
group heating temperature.
All parameters are configured independently for each group, increasing control over the brewing process and enabling simultaneous work with different coffee profiles.
Importantly, no tools or service intervention are required - all settings are adjusted directly via the touchscreen in just a few clicks.
Additional features include:
Statistics - particularly useful in HoReCa environments,
Automatic ON / OFF scheduling with a weekly timer,
COFFEE MODE / TEA MODE selection, configurable separately for each group.

Technology designed for real barista work
The RAPTOR interface was created with real working conditions in mind. Technology does not dominate the process — it organizes it, simplifying operation and improving control over brewing parameters. This makes RAPTOR a practical tool that naturally fits into the daily rhythm behind the bar, developed by Izensso.
